2013 ECR China Conference

The 11th ECR China Conference was held by GS1 China and ECR China at Hangzhou Intercontinental Hotel on June 6 and 7, 2013. The conference established the theme as “Creating Consumer Value Via Collaborative Supply Chain”and brought together leading domestic and foreign retailers, suppliers, technical supporters, consulting companies and government agencies to discuss about the trends of the consumer market, analysis of consumers demands and how to create collaborative supply chain.

On the second session: Innovative Weapon Earning Our Customer, Jason Yu, General Manager of Kantar Worldpanel China, gave a speech on “Capturing Opportunities as Sales Growth Slowing Down”. He pointed out that there were five things to take away for “growth” in 2012: Follow the ‘money’ – invest in the West along with urbanization; pay attention to the diversity of consumption patterns and learn the ‘Chinese’ way of innovation; grow trial of online shopping through lifestyle categories in lower tier cities; increase purchasing rate through effective consumer analysis for offline retailers; promote diversified competition through products or services and acquire various consumers.

Over the years, China ECR Conference has become the most grand and influential gathering in consumer goods industry in China and the advanced professional platform to facilitate inter-industry communication at home and abroad.
